ActivumSG capitalized on the dislocated hospitality market in 2020, acquiring Odyssey Hotel Group off market at a favorable entry point.
Odyssey, a white-label operator of global hotel brands founded in 2013, focuses predominantly on the Dutch and German hospitality markets and operates across a wide spectrum of hotels from limited service to higher end/historical properties. Their diverse portfolio includes renowned hospitality brands such as Tribute Portfolio, Autograph Collection, AC Hotels, Residence Inn, Moxy (all Marriott-owned), Holiday Inn Express and Fairmont.
Following the acquisition of the Group, our corporate transactions team has been working closely with Odyssey management to scale up the platform, expand its pipeline and broaden the footprint of their major hotel brand partners by entering new markets in Europe.
Our experience in making hospitality investments and cultivating strong senior management teams has enabled us to support Odyssey’s expansion efforts across Europe. This acquisition fits within ActivumSG’s broader theme of investing in attractive and growth-oriented hospitality assets, particularly during periods of market disruption.
